We provide all the data you need to design your footbridge with confidence, including load and deflection information that ensures you can determine that your chosen walking surfaces will safely support the intended load, including the weight of pedestrians and cyclists. We offer a 3D scanning service which can support your design services through the creation of a 3D point cloud. This is particularly useful in hard to reach or restricted access areas.
We have supplied hundreds of bridge projects and have designed our products to blend with the natural environment, urban landscape, and architectural context of the chosen structure type. Our GRP and Aluminium walkway products require minimal maintenance compared to materials such as steel or concrete, which may corrode or crack, and the choice of a low maintenance “fit and forget” solution from Dura Composites can result in major cost savings over the life of the project.
In areas where fire hazards may be a concern, our GRP has a Class B fire-rating, whilst our aluminium decking has a Class A2 fire rating, providing an added layer of safety versus traditional materials such as timber.
We can also provide valuable advice on the integration of adequate lighting to ensure visibility of the footbridge during night-time use.
