Our Dura Deck Eco and Resist Ranges

Both our Eco and Resist ranges suit various budgets and project requirements. Dura Deck has been on the market since 2007 and was the first composite decking brand in the world to offer FSC® certification as standard.

Many suppliers will request that you use a different span to suit commercial or domestic applications, but Dura Deck offers greater simplicity. There is one recommended span for each product in accordance with BS 6399-1: 1996  – no matter what the application and for the avoidance of doubt.

Our narrower boards (Eco 146Resist 150) have a more traditional appearance and closely resemble natural wood planks. However, if your priority is maximising the speed of installation or span capability then our double width board (Eco 295) may be more suitable.

All Dura Deck composite timber boards are reversible to allow the installer to choose from two attractive and durable finishes.

What are composites?

Composite materials are products made from two or more constituent materials with significantly difference physical or chemical properties, that when combined, produce a material with different characteristics to those of the individual components.

What are Wood Plastic Composites?

Wood-plastic composites (WPC) are composites made of wood fibre/wood flour and thermoplastic materials.

Our highly developed unique composition combines the traditional appearance of timber with the durability of an engineered composites. Our new 2019 Dura Deck Eco and Resist product range is manufactured from a unique combinations of wood and plastic.

What are the differences in performance between Dura Deck Eco and Resist

Dura Deck Eco and Resist are suitable in almost any environment. Dura Deck Resist in particular is ideal for commercial applications.

Made from an innovative blend of up to 87% recycled hardwood and plastics, Dura Deck Composite Timber helps to conserve the earth’s resources whilst reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill.

In fact, Dura Composites was the world’s first timber composite supplier to become FSC® 100% certified, further positioning us as a global pioneer in the world of composite timber.

Dura Deck’s Unique Composition

Using state-of-the-art product design, proprietary product formulas and precise manufacturing techniques, Dura has been able to achieve an additional 60% extra strength versus similar designs from competitors.

This added strength helps prevent long term failure due to permanent deflection (otherwise known as ‘sag’). Our unique design enables the same span to be used whether you plan to install Dura Deck residentially or commercially.

As a low maintenance alternative to timber, composite decking fuses traditional wood appearance with composite technology. Its long lifespan, anti-slip surface and concealed finishings are just a few reasons why it is so popular for both domestic and commercial use, and at Dura Composites we specialise in decking options to suit everything from patios and terraces, to balconies and boardwalks.

When it comes to considering your composite flooring options you may want to consider the advantages of Dura Deck our composite timber decking range which is available in a wide range of sizes, colours and finish to suit different applications and tastes. Not only is Dura Deck 87% recycled, it is also available as FSC® 100% approved.

If you are looking for a solution that can be laid in minutes, our Dura Tile interlocking squares require no screws, nails or bonds and the base is constructed with inbuilt connecting tabs which enable the tiles to quickly interlock together over practically any hard surface. Ideal for DIY garden decks or for difficult to reach roof terraces or balconies.

Alternatively, our Composite PVC decking Dura Park Deck is an attractive PVC decking solution with excellent anti-slip properties.

Dura Park Deck is waterproof, stain resistant and requires virtually no maintenance. It has been developed for the leisure and tourism industry and for small decking or balcony areas.

To complement our flooring options, we also have an extensive range of composite related products, like timber composite handrailing and pergolas. Our handrailing is supplied pre-drilled with no painting or staining necessary, and our pergolas are just as low maintenance, making use of a unique composite formula that never needs painting or staining. As with all our composite options, it is particularly durable and built to withstand even the toughest weather conditions.

Once you’ve decided on the right composite flooring product for your needs, our specialist distributor, International Timber, has 4 major UK depots in Stirlingshire, Manchester, Gloucestershire and Essex, and stocks a huge range of Dura Deck and Dura Tiles to suit every project need.
