d² Quickspan Balustrading is a modular aluminium balcony balustrade system engineered to deliver reliable permanent balcony balustrade protection with fewer parts, faster installation and consistent compliance. Developed as part of the wider d² Quickspan range, it forms a coordinated set of balcony components, alongside d² Quickspan Beams and Decking profiles.
Can be issued fully pre-assembled or in part-form, giving fabricators and installers the flexibility to suit logistics, access constraints and sequencing strategies.

d² Quickspan Balustrading is engineered to meet the demands of modern balcony applications, with clearly defined performance capabilities.
The Top-Fix aluminium configuration supports:
- 0.74kN/m, suitable for typical residential balconies
- 1.5kN/m, for higher-load or more demanding environments
All configurations are compliant with BS 6180:2011 and incorporate a compliant 15-degree sloped handrail, providing confidence for designers, contractors and building owners alike.
High performance is achieved without over-engineering, with aluminium post centres of up to 600mm for 0.74kN/m applications and 400mm for 1.5kN/m requirements.
Simple fixing. Faster installation
Installation is clean, repeatable and efficient, using typically just 2–3 aluminium fixings per linear metre, depending on load requirements.
This streamlined approach can deliver significant installation time savings per section, reducing labour input and site time compared with welded or steel-intensive balustrade systems.
There is no requirement for third-party steel connections. All components are aluminium and engineered for direct fixing to steel or concrete balconies, reducing coordination risk and interface complexity.
In addition to Top-Fix, Face-Fix configurations are available, making the system suitable for bolt-on steel balconies and concrete balcony structures.
