    Fencing

    Durable fencing for electrified environments.

GRP is a safe and economical choice for fencing and screening purposes and is used extensively in rail and industrial settings thanks to its non-corrosive and non-conductive features. In contrast to metallic fencing, it lacks inherent scrap value, making it less prone to theft. GRP fencing also offers a prolonged service life, making it a more cost-effective choice compared to steel or aluminium fencing.

Dura Fencing is made from strong but lightweight GRP. Because of its suitability for use in electrified environments, we have supplied fencing and screening for a wide range of rail applications such as boundary fencing, trackside fencing, end of platform gates, traincare depot perimeters and screening of electrical works. With a visually appealing mesh construction, it can be cut to size on site without the need for hot works permits and without the need for track isolation. Panels are supported by our structural beam sections known as Dura Profile.

In a power station where electrical equipment and high voltages are prevalent, having non-conductive fencing helps enhance safety by reducing the risk of electrical accidents. With a wealth of data and testing information, we can provide crowd loading data, span information and technical drawings to support document control system requirements for your project.

With a visually appealing mesh design which permits continuous airflow, Dura Composites’ safety fencing can be pre-assembled off site for rapid installation as soon as your site is ready. The low-weight nature of the d² Dura Grating panels used for the fencing infills allow for easy handling and panels can be cut to size using standard power tools on or off-site. Several fixing solutions are available to suit different applications.

    FAQ

GRP is a cost-effective and practical choice for fencing and screening applications and is widely used in rail and industrial environments thanks to its non-conductive and long-lasting properties. Unlike metallic fencing, it has no intrinsic scrap value and is therefore not subject to metal theft. GRP fencing is also highly durable and has a long service life which can make it more cost effective than steel or aluminium fencing.

With a visually appealing mesh construction, it can be cut to size on site without the need for hot works permits and without the need for isolation of power lines for example. Dura Fencing has a guaranteed long service life and provides a safe and cost-effective alternative to metal or wooden structures.

Dura Fencing is made from strong but lightweight GRP and is widely used in rail and industrial applications such as boundary fencing, trackside fencing, traincare depot perimeters and screening of electrical works, thanks to its non-corrosive and non-conductive properties. We offer a variety of different mesh sizes, depending on the level of screening your project requires. For stations, we also offer GRP or FRP End of Platform Gates and anti-trespass guards to stop members of the public accessing the operational train line.

We can support with your design process. Our most common approach is to establish a compliant modular design which meets the required specified crowd loading requirements utilising our market-leading GRP Dura Profile and Dura Grating components.
