Attractive, future-proof composite timber decking boards for commercial or residential projects
Dura Deck is a low maintenance, eco-friendly alternative to traditional timber decking
Whilst timber has traditionally been used for decking, the emergence of composite timber has delivered a host of advantages over traditional materials and has led it to become the number one choice for landscapers, architects and specifiers looking for an attractive but future-proof solution. Strong and durable, Dura Deck composite decking looks and feels just like natural wood, but provides a longer-lasting solution that is environmentally friendly, easy to install and requires minimal maintenance.
Dura Deck is manufactured from a unique combination of wood and plastic and our highly developed unique composition combines the traditional appearance of timber with the durability of an engineered composite. It results in a vibrant, long-lasting colour which will never rot, warp or splinter and does not require staining, treating or painting.
Unlike traditional timber, WPC decking boards (further information about WPC decking) require only basic cleaning; the product still looks new after years of use and remains cost-effective throughout its lifecycle, requiring only an occasional wash and scrub to keep it looking at its best. Composite wood plastic decking also handles heat and weathering extremely well, being UV stable as well as resistant to the impact of moisture, mould and algae.
As well as saving both time and money through easy installation and low maintenance, our composite decking boards are also an eco-friendly option. Made from an innovative blend of up to 87% recycled hardwood and plastics, Dura Deck helps to conserve the earth’s resources whilst reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill. In fact, Dura Composites was the world’s first timber composite supplier to become FSC ® 100% certified, further positioning us as a global pioneer in the world of composite timber.

The Dura Deck product range
An immensely versatile material, Dura Deck combines the traditional appearance of timber with the durability and resilience of an engineered composite. The result is a range of products that are suitable for both domestic use for residential decking or balconies, as well as for more demanding commercial applications at hotels, around swimming pools, or on terraces and boardwalks.
The Dura Deck composite decking range is available in a variety of widths and surface finishes to suit every project need. Our narrower boards (Type 146, 150) have a more traditional appearance and most closely resemble natural wood planks, whilst our wider boards (Type 225, 295) are ideal if you’re looking for speed of installation. Whichever you opt for, all Dura Deck WPC boards are reversible to allow the installer to choose from two attractive finishes. We also offer solid section profiles, ideal if you need to cut boards to specific sizes whilst maintaining core strength.
As well as resisting the impact of moisture, our anti-slip composite decking uses below surface fixings to provide a walking surface that is free from any visible screws or nails, producing not only a professional appearance, but a safe option when walking barefoot.
If you’re looking for a PVC decking product then why not consider Dura Park Deck? Our PVC decking is an attractive low maintenance option with fantastic anti-slip properties in both wet and dry conditions and is ideal for leisure parks, holiday complexes, water parks, caravans and lodge homes.

Also widely known as Composite Timber, WPC (or Wood Plastic Composite) is a highly engineered mixture of wood fibre, plastic, and specific binding agents. These ingredients are put together to form a material that is denser, stronger, and longer-lasting than wood alone, making WPC the ideal material for decking areas.
The specific manufacturing process used to produce our Dura Deck WPC decking means we can create a wide range of attractive colours that can easily rival traditional timbers. The colours are both vibrant and long-lasting and never need painting or treating, unlike traditional hardwood. Our Wood Plastic Composite decking boards are also easy to install using standard woodworking tools and are a low maintenance decking solution for both commercial and residential applications.
Dura Deck WPC decking will not split, splinter or rot and is extremely dimensionally stable. It has a high resistance against environmental impacts such as fungal or mould attack and its innovative subsurface fixing system means no nails or screws need to go through the deck itself, creating a smart, uniform and barefoot friendly deck. For customers looking for a complete plastic decking solution, we also offer a PVC decking product with excellent scratch resistance known as Dura Park Deck. Got a query about Dura’s composite decking? Check out our frequently asked questions below for in-depth answers.
Technically, yes. However, we would strongly advise against it. Our highly sophisticated, maintenance-free decking is designed to resist all weather conditions, so it won’t fade or rot over time, negating the need for a paint job.
It doesn’t need it – all of our decking is engineered to resist mould and rot, so you won’t need to go through the hassle of treating it every year.
Yes. The durability and versatility of WPC makes it one of the few primarily outdoor materials that can be used inside. However, there would need to be a solid base for the decking to sit on, which is harder to achieve indoors than it is outside.
Not directly. Resin decking cannot be laid over an existing surface – instead, we need to lay a sub-surface for the composite to sit on, ensuring maximum results.
No. Unlike traditional timber materials, wood grain composite decking is specifically designed to resist water damage and rot.
As a trusted composite timber decking supplier, we can’t guarantee that your decking won’t get hot. What we can guarantee, however, is that regardless of how hot your decking gets during the summer, it’ll never warp or bend.
No. The unique composition of our decking means that it won’t scratch or chip by reasonable means, making it perfect for furniture.
Dura’s maintenance-free decking is made from a unique combination of timber and plastic, giving it the feel and look of the former, but the durability of the latter.
It couldn’t be easier to clean Dura Deck; its water- and stain-resistant technology means it only takes a wipe or a scrub to remove any impurities.
All Dura Composites’ resin decking has a 25-year service life, but with good maintenance it could well exceed that.
You don’t: we do it for you! All of our decking comes with a 10-year warranty, so if you ever need a repair or replacement, all you need to do is call.
No. Unlike purely plastic or vinyl alternatives, our wood grain composite decking is designed to prevent you from slipping on it.
Yes. The blend of plastic and wood that makes up our Dura deck means that it is 100% waterproof. This means that, unlike timber, it won’t swell or warp when the weather gets too rough – it’ll remain perfect year in, year out.
Not always. Like other composite timber decking suppliers, we offer a varied range which includes both hollow and solid options. Solid deck is usually more durable, while hollow deck tends to respond better to changes in the weather.
