GRP Safety Access Ladders & Emergency Ladders

Our access ladders are manufactured using our market-leading fibreglass GRP pultruded profiles, which produce lightweight, chemically resistant, easily installed ladder solutions.

Dura Composites access ladders can be supplied in any specified length, and can be equipped with walk throughs, safety cages and returns.

Dura Composites’ GRP Ladders outperform their conventional steel, aluminium and wooden counterparts across all key criteria thanks to their high strength to weight ratio, low maintenance requirements, corrosion and electrical resistance and low installation costs.

GRP ladders are perfect for environments where galvanised steel will degrade and stainless steel is just too expensive or is likely to corrode and become slippery and unsafe.

GRP is the perfect long-lasting alternative safety ladder solution for corrosive environments such as Water & Waste Treatment Plants, Chemical Facilities, Factories, Offshore Drilling Platforms, Power Stations and Sub-Stations, and any other environment that requires safe access to raised or underground areas.

Dura Access Ladders can be manufactured  to meet bespoke customer requirements, and our experienced team will provide design support and CAD drawings from initial concept stage through to fabrication at our Dura Fabrication Centre in the east of England.

Marine Safety Ladders

Dura Composites’ GRP rescue and emergency ladders are ideal for the harsh saltwater conditions of marine environments.

They can be supplied in lengths of  1.5 metres, 2 metres and 6 metres from stock, but can also be manufactured to virtually any size, height or width. As with our main access ladder range, we can also offer safety cages, landings and barriers if needed.

Marina ladders are fabricated in safety yellow as standard and come with GRP fixing brackets for easy attachment to pontoons or fingers.

Our ladders are normally fitted by Pontoon Builders for emergency purposes to help protect marina staff and members of the public in case someone should be in distress in the water and quick access or egress is required. Dura Safety Ladders can be situated below the water level to allow easier foothold access to the pontoon decking level and the ladder rungs have an anti-slip serrated surface.

As well as emergency and rescue ladders for use in marinas, they are also suited for use by the RNLI or boatbuilders as GRP boarding ladders for getting in and out of the water during the servicing of watercraft or for use during sporting activities.
