We were delighted to be the awards sponsor for this year’s RIA’s Parliamentary Reception which took place on 16 January 2024 at the House of Commons in the Palace of Westminster.
This annual reception brings together senior leaders and stakeholders from across the railway sector to hear from Ministers, Shadow Ministers, MPs and Peers about the most pertinent issues affecting the rail industry.
Dura Composites provided support to the reception by fabricating a series of awards which were given at the event to recognise twelve politicians that took part in RIA Rail Fellowship Programme visits to RIA member facilities during 2023.
In line with our commitment to sustainability, the awards were fabricated from offcuts of our hugely successful composite daggerboard canopy product, with an attractive printed design added to showcase the woodgrain surface finish which has an industry-leading Class B fire rating.
Installed at scores of stations across the UK (including listed heritage locations), Dura Dagger Board is a fantastic fire-rated low-maintenance alternative to timber which helps achieve huge cost savings over the life of the asset due to its long design life.
