Lakeland Leisure turned to upgrading the aging timber planks at Barton Marina, a popular destination on the Trent and Mersey Canal. They chose our durable GRP Mini Mesh that has anti-slip properties to ensure safety in high-traffic areas.
As part of their upgrade cycle, Lakeland Leisure turned their attention to Barton Marina to upgrade the timber that had seen much better days. The first boat entered the marina on the 15th August 2000 at 12.05pm, and since then the marina has grown to accommodate over 300 berths. This heavy footfall, was one of the reasons that Lakeland Leisure choose our GRP Mini Mesh with its heavily tested, high anti-slip properties and hard wearing attributes that comes with a reassuring 25 year warranty.
Barton Marina which is located on the Trent and Mersey Canal plays host to some of Staffordshire’s finest restaurants and bars and is a popular tourist hotspot, which is why it was so vital that they upgraded the unsafe timber to something more permanent. Working with our partners Shoredeck again, we offered Barton Marina a new lease of life with the full turnkey solution of design, supply and install.
Building on a perfect partnership that’s been blossoming for years across multiple projects, Lakeland Leisure have now had over 10,000 sqm of Dura Composites Mini Mesh Grating successfully designed, supplied and installed.
