GRP Security Fencing and Gates

Our fencing and gates offer key advantages over conventional metallic barriers and structures, thanks to their non-conductive nature and non-corrosive properties. They can be pre-assembled off site for rapid installation or supplied in component form.

Made from strong but lightweight GRP (also known as FRP or Fibre Reinforced Plastic) our security fencing can be used for a wide range of applications such as boundary fencing, end of platform gates, trackside fencing, depot perimeters and screening of electrical works.

With metal theft one of the fastest growing crimes in the UK, our strong but lightweight composite fencing also has excellent anti-theft properties as unlike metal it has no intrinsic scrap value. With a visually appealing mesh construction, it can be cut to size on-site without the need for hot works permits and, if being used for rail projects, without the need for track isolation.

Dura Composites GRP Fencing has a guaranteed long-service life and provides a safe, non-conductive, maintenance free and cost effective alternative to metal or wooden structures.

With a long design life, Dura Composites’ fibreglass screening solutions are highly durable and help secure the perimeters of key areas, whilst visual inspection and ventilation are preserved. Particularly suited to facilities within the Power and Utilities and Rail sector, our GRP/FRP fencing provides a non-conductive protective and anti-trespass barrier with no metallic parts to touch. Standard colours are green, yellow and grey, other RAL colours available on request for volume orders.

GRP End of Platform Gates & Steps

Dura Composites is experienced in the supply of GRP or FRP End of Platform Gates and anti-trespass guards to stop members of the public accessing the operational train line from a railway station.

Our modular design complements our fencing and screening and products utilising our market-leading GRP Dura Profile and Dura Grating components and exceeds the required specified crowd loading requirements.

We also offer end-of-platform steps made from our high strength, GRP pultruded sections, which can be installed rapidly to keep the station operating smoothly.

Weighing up to 80% less than steel and 30% less than aluminium, they offer equivalent performance for considerably less weight. This results in major savings including lower installation costs due to more economical transportation, handling and on-site positioning.

As well as fully fabricated non-corrosive and non-conductive single unit GRP end of platform steps we can also supply in component or flat pack kit form ready for quick assembly on-site.
