Artworker/Designer

Job Purpose: As a Artworker/Designer, you’ll support the creation of compelling visual content across print, digital, video, and web platforms. Working closely with designers, marketers, and developers, you’ll help bring ideas to life using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint, and wireframing software. From designing presentations and sales materials to contributing to UX projects, you’ll play an active role in producing engaging, effective design work. This is a hands-on opportunity to grow your creative skills within a collaborative, fast-paced environment, while making a meaningful impact through thoughtful, audience-focused design.
Key Duties
Artwork & Visual Asset Production
- Supporting the design team you will create, adapt and maintain artwork and assets for print, digital, and presentation materials based on existing templates and guidelines.
- Ensure all outputs meet branding requirements and technical specifications.
- Work across multiple styles including signage, adverts, point of sale, social and web graphics, internal comms and documentation
Presentation Design Support
- Format, source assets, and visually enhance slide decks in PowerPoint.
- Apply brand templates and maintain design consistency throughout presentations.
Website Support
- Assist with updating our company websites through our content management systems (e.g. WordPress).
File Management & Quality Control
- Maintain and organise design files, templates, and digital asset libraries.
- Conduct visual QA checks to ensure layout, typography, and branding consistency across all deliverables.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with designers, developers, and marketers to execute and deliver design tasks.
- Provide proactive admin support to the wider team to ensure the smooth daily running of the department.
- Communicate clearly about timelines, workload, and requirements.
- Be open to feedback and iterate quickly based on direction from senior team members.
- Regular attendance of meetings to progress tasks and assist the team in executing events/tasks to completion.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
- A passionate person, either just out of college/university or with 1-2 years of experience in graphic design.
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite with a passion for InDesign, and good knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in PowerPoint and Word to support high-quality presentations.
- Experience in website or interface design (preferred but not essential).
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail through thorough proofreading and rigorous quality checking to ensure accuracy, consistency, and excellence in all deliverables.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and confidence to ask questions.
- An innovative thinker, always curious about how to improve processes and designs.

Friday | 08:15 – 15:45 (37.5 hrs per week)

Dura Research & Development Centre, Clacton-on-Sea – Hybrid considered
Basic Salary
£25,000 per annum
NPGSBS
Potential to earn 10% of Basic salary, following one year’s service as part of the companywide Net Profit Gain Share Bonus System (NPGSBS)
Total Package
£27,500 per annum
Holidays
20 days per year plus 8 bank holidays
(Option to purchase 5 additional days per year)
