Project Overview

Working on the Coronation Square development in Leyton for Taylor Wimpey, multi-disciplinary contractors The TP Group turned to Dura Composites to help transform the vision for its Podium Gardens into reality. To achieve a balance of style, performance and sustainability, our Dura Deck Inspire A1 Porcelain in Wren was selected as the focal point of the hardscaping podium scheme, creating a safe, attractive and long-lasting space for residents.

Coronation Square is a landmark residential development in East London, designed to promote wellbeing and community connection. At its heart sits the Podium Gardens, featuring a circular communal decking area framed by striking street furniture and surrounded by lush planting, shrubs and wildflowers. The TP Group, experts in surfacing and coating and hard and soft landscaping, chose Dura Deck Inspire porcelain decking for its natural wood-grain appearance, but also for its proven safety credentials. With its A1 fire rating and anti-slip texture, the decking provides reassurance and comfort for residents and visitors alike.

Practicality was just as important as aesthetics. Thanks to its unique 1.8m board length, Dura Deck Inspire can span up to 50% more than competitor products, reducing the need for substructure materials and significantly cutting installation time. This efficiency translated into tangible savings for the project team, while ensuring that the finished result maintained a premium look and feel.
