Industrial Project Manager

You’ll play a key role in helping clients reach their goals, guiding projects from start to finish with a supportive, hands-on approach. In this role, no two days are the same, and your ideas and expertise will be valued at every step.

You will also be expected to support the Sales Sector Manager in achieving sales and profit targets by meeting specific and individual targets as well as managing sales leads, sharing updates on opportunities, projects and values with the rest of the team.

Key Duties

  • Support the Sector Manager in achieving sales and profit targets by meeting individual targets set by the Sector Sales Manager.
  • Provide weekly updates on opportunities, projects, values, and material needs during Traction meetings, sharing this information with your Line Manager to help manage stock levels for optimal project delivery.
  • Manage leads in the Salesforce system, qualify them, and deliver timely, accurate quotes with necessary documentation, such as technical drawings, to support customer decision-making.
  • Ensure timely customer support, addressing and resolving any client issues, and assisting team members when needed.
  • Build relationships with clients to convert leads into orders, prioritising face-to-face visits but utilising video calls or phone calls as needed, with email follow-ups to confirm discussions.
  • Maintain up-to-date information on all project leads and opportunities in the CRM system, ensuring follow-up dates and estimated close dates are accurate.
  • Provide guidance and support to contractors and sub-contractors installing products.
  • Collaborate with design agencies to specify Dura products by providing timely and accurate information, coordinating with CAD, Marketing, and other team members.
  • Ensure that all orders include accurate specifications and details to allow CAD and Operations to process them correctly the first time.
  • Assist in gathering project marketing materials, such as before-and-after photos, from site visits or clients, and share them with marketing.
  • Liaise with purchasing and manufacturing counterparts for the projects which have specific needs.
  • Utilise Order Management Team resources efficiently, providing clear instructions for processing work accurately.
  • Provide support to the team during holidays, training, sickness, or business travel.
  • Stay open to new products and project opportunities, presenting ideas to your Line Manager or Directors for review.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of all company products, market conditions, and competitor activities.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies

  • Possesses a clear understanding of the company and departmental vision.
  • Five years’ experience within construction in some form, and anything in Utilities/Industrial is beneficial
  • Understands technical drawings and is comfortable to interpret and challenge the information.
  • Experience in completing take offs from the drawing using applications such as bluebeam.
  • Industrial/Utilities relevant technical product sales knowledge and experience are advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills with a high level of professionalism.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to meet business and customer needs, including early mornings or late evenings when required.
  • Able to project manage new business orders and see through to the end.
  • Experience using CRM systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Previous experience using nest programs is useful.
  • Excellent judgment, organisational skills, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong active listening skills and interpersonal communication.
  • CAD experience is helpful but not essential.

08:30 – 17:00 (37.5 hrs per week)

Basic Salary

£43,000 – £52,000 per annum (depending on experience)

NPGSBS

Potential to earn 20% of Basic salary, following one year’s service as part of the companywide Net Profit Gain Share Bonus System (NPGSBS)

OTE

£51,600 – £62,400 per annum (depending on experience)

Car Allowance

Upon successful completion of probation period, the opportunity to be eligible for a company car or opt out allowance.

Holidays

20 days per year plus 8 bank holidays
(Option to purchase 5 additional days per year)
