FIBREGLASS TRENCH, DUCT AND GULLY COVERS FOR ALL TYPES OF INDUSTRY

Dura Slab trench covers allow easy access, are lightweight, have built-in lifting eyes & a non-slip gritted top walking surface.

Trench Covers

Dura Slab is ideal for new constructions and replacements for trench covers, but is also well suited for refurbishment applications to replace old, heavy & cumbersome traditional flooring materials and trench covers. Its characteristics make it more favourable for these applications over using steel, timber or concrete systems, due to its lower weight, anti-slip surface, ease of installation and absence of maintenance. See our range of Dura Slab products.

Fibreglass duct covers offer maximum strength with an anti-slip surface & allow easy removal for access.

Duct covers

Dura Slab is suitable for high strength applications, and like all our trench cover products has been tested to B.S. EN124. This European standard applies to duct covers and manhole tops for vehicular and pedestrian areas. In order to reach this approval, a Dura Slab duct cover panel of 74mm thickness and 1280mm span was subjected to a load equivalent to two thirds of the Class B test load, 83.3kN, and then reduced to zero.

Fibreglass gully covers do not require any lifting equipment, are low cost, anti-slip and low maintenance.

Gully Covers

Fibreglass gully covers are lightweight, high strength, anti-slip and easily removed for maintenance access. They can easily be lifted by one, two or four man teams using standard lifting keys. Dura Slab has been engineered for use as gully covers where incredible strength to weight ratio is important.

Dura Slab structural flooring has high structural strength, is lightweight, easy to install, fire resistant with an anti-slip walking surface.

Structural flooring

Dura Slab is a fibreglass structural flooring system manufactured using a unique construction technique that provides an incredible strength to weight ratio. Dura Slab structural flooring panels are manufactured by the pultruded fibreglass process to provide a composite flooring structure that is stiff, strong, lightweight, non-corrosive with an anti-slip walking surface.

Fibreglass trench covers are lightweight, easy to install and fire resistant.

Fibreglass trench covers

Dura Slab fibreglass trench covers are generally supplied with angular quartz grit embedded into the top surface to provide an excellent anti-slip walking surface. The gritted angular quartz walking surface is considered to have one of the highest degrees of slip resistance ever measured. When maintenance is required, the trench covers can easily be removed by a one or two man team using standard lifting keys.

Heavy duty fibreglass trench covers are anti-corrosive and fire & impact resistant.

Sub station class B rated trench covers to B.S. EN124 offering minimal maintenance and a long term lifespan

GRP structural trench covers

Structural flooring for trench covers are maximum strength, lightweight, easy to install with an anti-slip top walking surface. Heavy duty pultruded construction system. Minimal maintenance trench covers.

Fibreglass structural panels for new or replacement work platforms & industrial flooring.

No lifting equipment required

Dura Slab structural flooring panels are manufactured in the fibreglass pultrusion process which creates a precision engineered maximum strength flooring system. This product is a lightweight structural flooring system which is suitable for trench covers, gully covers, duct covers and general flooring applications where high strength and chemical resistance is necessary.

Structural raised walkway for canning plant offering a chemical resistant anti-slip flooring system.

New or replacement flooring

Structural flooring benefits include lightweight, high strength, easy installation, anti-slip surface, corrosion free, fire resistant, impact resistant and zero maintenance. Ideal for new or replacement trench covers, gully covers, duct covers and structural flooring products in industry.

Final pultruded resin glassfibre Dura Slab

Pultruded Dura Slab profiles are manufactured by combining various resins with pure glassfibre reinforcement. They are formed and cured in a continuous process creating a product of extraordinary strength and resilience. The resultant profile offers a combination of benefits and mechanical properties exceeding those of metal. Weighing up to 80% less than steel and concrete, Dura Slab offers equivalent performance for considerably less weight. This results in major weight savings and lower installation and servicing removal costs due to more economical transportation, handling and on site positioning. The high strength to weight ratio has particular relevance for many applications in the structural flooring, trench, gully and duct cover industries.

British Standard Slip Resistance Test Results

The B.S. 4592 test was devised to test and assess the slip resistance of industrial type flooring intended for use in water and wet areas. A co-efficient of friction (CoF) is calculated by determining the mean angle of inclination that an operator can safely maintain when the flooring is subjected to a continuous stream of water.
