Contract Installation

We have a dedicated specialist composites installation team for our high rise building products and bespoke fabrications. We invest in specialist health and safety training for all our staff, and our GRP installation operatives are IPAF and PASMA qualified.

Dura Riser Installation Steps

With over 25 years’ combined experience, our Riser Installation Team are fully equipped and trained to install our bespoke patented (GB2581388) riser safety solutions on high-rise new builds and refurbishments. The Dura Riser system can be installed without delay – offering immediate riser protection and enabling the site to be fully operational instantly. Our experienced team can help ensure that your M&E requirements are factored into the build at the specification stage to help save you time and money.

Information on voids and location services will be collected by issued drawings or by measure via a site survey where safety, access and equipment requirements will also be identified.

Install drawings will be drafted to identify the voids to be covered, the finished height and the placement of supports required to ensure the flooring is adequately reinforced.

The void will be measured from corresponding datums or gridlines, and then carefully marked to enable an accurate installation.

The Dura Riser Framework is installed into the substrate of the void using approved fixings. Support will be offset by the thickness of the grating to allow the correct finished height.

The Dura Riser grating will be cut to size and rested upon the supports, then clipped down to prevent uplift.

If your installed Dura Riser flooring solution has reached the next project stage, our experienced team are on hand to assist and ensure the structural integrity of your riser solution isn’t compromised when the mechanical and electrical services are added.

Value Added Services

Dura Composites offers a structural design engineering service, both as a stand-alone design or as part of a larger integrated design scheme.

Our Dura Riser design package includes layout drawings with secondary supports, and the option of FEA simulations and service cut out reports. All covered under Dura Composites Public Liability Insurance. We also have full design capabilities, offering PI insurance for bespoke designs.

Our installation team is made up of entirely permanent staff who undergo an extensive company induction process to ensure that they share in Dura Composites’ commitment to delivering excellence.

The use of PAYE employees instead of casual workers enables us to provide continuity of staff to our end clients, so you can get to know your project team, and in turn they can get to know your specific operating environments, ways of working and key project stakeholders. All of our installation team members are passionate about the quality of their workmanship and upholding the reputation of the team and the Dura Composites brand.

We have strong staff retention levels, meaning we are able to continually invest in our team members to enhance their knowledge and skills through regular training and development initiatives.

Our highly experienced workforce embraces a “can do” attitude and our Senior Site Supervisor Brett was recently awarded Mace’s monthly safety award in recognition of his exemplary health and safety practices.

Before After

We are ISO 9001 certified – a quality management system that helps us continually monitor and manage quality in order to achieve, as well as benchmark, consistently high performance and service.

We are pleased to have gained Achilles Building Confidence Advanced membership, ensuring our compliance with CAS and SSiP standards. All installation teams are supervised by an SSSTS trained supervisor, and all operatives carry CSCS cards, so you can be confident that Dura Composites adheres to safe working practices on site.

If installation conditions are particularly challenging, we can conduct a site survey and provide additional guidance which may influence or improve the planned design.

We also have a team of CAD experts and an in-house GRP structural design resource to ensure your planned installation meets all the safety and loading requirements for your specific application.

And don't just take our word for it... see what some of our clients have to say

Dura have been a pleasure to work with on the 20 Ropemaker site. The site team have a great attitude towards health and safety and actively participate on site initiatives regarding this. They are very knowledgeable, always keen to help and collaborate effectively and independently with the other trades on the site where required. Their main supervisors Brett, Tom and Lee are all very capable, competent, diligent, and effective supervisors who manage their workforce well and control their work areas. The GRP risers and gantries produced on site are of a very good quality and are installed to a good visual standard.
