Non-Conductive Protective GRP Fibreglass Screening | Dura Grating
Manufactured from a high performance fibreglass composite, Dura Grating from Dura Composites combines strength, durability and ultra low maintenance, making it the perfect choice for many applications in the construction industry such as the screening of rooftop utilities, tankage, air conditioning units and pipework. Thanks to its open mesh grating construction which permits continuous airflow, Dura Grating can be used as ventilation and visual screening for car parks, leisure facilities, railway stations and underground car parks.
GRP Dura Grating is ideal for Architectural Concealment Applications
Dura Composites GRP screens offer excellent non conductive properties and can be used as a safe and durable alternative to metal, with excellent corrosion resistance and a fantastic 25 year warranty.
Dura Composites’ fibreglass screening products are ideal solutions for architectural concealments, as they are attractive, easy to install, lightweight and are resistant to a wide range of chemicals. GRP moulded panels are easily cut and fabricated to suit conditions on site without the need for hot works permits, or we can deliver to site already cut for rapid installation.

Non corrosive GRP screens and refuge platforms
Effective drainage systems for waterways and pumping stations rely on the unobstructed flow of water. Dura Composites’ bespoke screens can provide an invaluable defence in preventing blockages and debris from damaging pumps and impeding waterways.
In the examples shown here, the debris screen consists of sloping ‘hockey stick’ vertical bars, made from our high performance Dura Composites GRP.
Above the screen is a horizontal refuge platform designed to provide safe access to the screen for clearance of weeds and debris. Behind this is another vertical screen made from our industry-leading fibreglass Dura Grating that acts as an additional barrier during high water levels.
A lockable access gate can be built into these kinds of structures to allow periodic inspections to be carried out. Additional safety features such as access ladders steps or hand-railing can also be included in the design to improve both security and safety for on-site personnel.
