Fibreglass fabrications are an alternative construction material to steel, aluminium and timber offering chemical and corrosion resistance and a long lifespan.
Fibreglass fabrications are manufactured using high quality fibreglass profiles produced from the latest pultrusion process, which offers high strength, low weight, chemical and fire resistant properties. At Dura Composites our CAD team are utilised for the design of fibreglass fabrications. Robust plant and equipment can be fabricated in-house and delivered to the site in complete form, or in manageable sections for final assembly on location. Fibreglass fabrications such as stairways, access platforms, walkways and step-over platforms can be fitted with various fibreglass floor grating mesh which offers maximum anti-slip properties.
Steel and metal fabrications can now be produced using pultruded fibreglass profiles where high strength / low weight and where corrosion resistance is paramount.
GRP assemblies are, weight for weight, stronger than steel and are easier to transport and install due to the relatively low weight factor. GRP assemblies are an alternative construction material to steel and timber which have excellent thermal and non-conductive properties. GRP assemblies provide minimal maintenance as painting is not necessary.
FRP structures are strong, low weight, chemical and fire resistant and non conductive.
FRP structures are, weight for weight, stronger than steel, and can be easier to transport and install due to the low weight factor. FRP structures can be fabricated from lightweight profiles using I-beam, channel, box, tube and angles to produce corrosion and fire resistant structures.

British Standard Slip Resistance Test Results for structures fitted with fibreglass grating walkways and stair tread surfaces
The B.S. 4592 test was devised to test and assess the slip resistance of industrial type flooring intended for use in water and wet areas. A co-efficient of friction (CoF) is calculated by determining the mean angle of inclination that an operator can safely maintain when the flooring is subjected to a continuous stream of water.
Standard colours are Green and Grey, other RAL colours available on request for volume orders.
