The Best Western Hotel Regina Elena is an upscale 4-star hotel with sweeping views of the Ligurian Sea. Located in pretty Santa Margherita, the hotel boasts lush gardens which lead to a private beach.
As the beach is rocky, access to the sea presents a challenge for barefoot swimmers, therefore Dura Composites’ Italian representatives NewMarinas.it were chosen to provide a safe and durable beach access solution.
A previous solution using steel grill flooring was no longer fit for purpose as it was very slippery for users, and was found to be degrading quickly in the seaside conditions.
A new walkway was devised by NewMarinas.it, using fibreglass Dura Grating Mini Mesh in an attractive sand colour. The small hole sizes of the mesh are barefoot friendly and thanks to their low maintenance properties, are suited for the harsh conditions of the seaside environment.
