Dura Composites Named UK’s Most Innovative Company at European Business Excellence Awards
Dura Composites, a leading supplier of high quality Composite Flooring and Cladding products has been honoured as the UK’s Most Innovative Company with a prestigious award at the 2015 Business Excellence Forum & Awards.
The star studded awards ceremony took place in Portugal at the exclusive 5 Star Tróia Design Hotel near Lisbon, and was the culmination of the EMEA Business Excellence Forum - 2 days of intensive workshops designed to deliver the best, most effective and highest ROI business strategies to business owners and entrepreneurs.
Dura Composites was named as “Most Innovative Company” in recognition of the company’s relentless commitment to excellence and its pioneering composite product solutions that offer scalable real-world alternatives to traditional materials. One of the key product innovations that proved instrumental in winning the award was Dura Platform – a fibreglass station platform solution which can be used to replace or extend existing platforms or to renovate existing platforms where the stepping distances between trains and platforms are out of gauge. The Dura Platform solution offers potential cost savings of around 25% versus existing alternatives and crucially, minimises disruption for both station operators and passengers due to the ease of installation. The patented solution is set to help the company achieve a phenomenal £10m jump in turnover by 2017 and industry insiders say it is proving to be a real game changer for the rail sector.
Accepting the award on behalf of Dura Composites, company director Stuart Burns commented; “The past 12 months have been an exciting time for Dura and we are delighted to have been recognised with this award. It’s a real testament to the unique nature of the solutions we’ve developed and the service we provide to our customers all over the world across different business sectors. Our hard working and dedicated team have the extensive knowledge and practical experience needed to ensure we stay at the forefront of composite material technology, and this award will inspire us to keep delivering breakthrough solutions in the marine, rail, industrial and construction sectors”.
