A letter from 10 Downing Street

By Stuart Burns February 4, 2013

Earlier this year, we wrote to David Cameron to thank him for taking the time to visit us at The Big 5 Exhibition, Dubai, and to update him on the result of what was an incredibly successful show for Dura Composites.

Yesterday, we received a reply from PM David Cameron himself. David_Cameron_Visits_Dura_Composites_Stand_ smallClick here to take a peek!

The Prime Ministers’ visit was a great boost for our team as we set our sights on raising awareness amongst new and existing specifiers and contractors in the Middle East and attracting new international distributors.

In fact, we received over 375 good quality project leads from customers all over the world including South Africa and Italy, not to mention many countries within the GCC. This increased from just over 200 enquiries at the previous Big 5 Show – an 87% improvement.

As a direct result of our participation at the exhibition, our distributor based in Dubai, Advanced Fibreglass Industries, has been inundated with orders from across the Middle East. Amongst other projects, our timber composite decking will be installed in a chain of coffee shops at the prestigious Burj Khalifa and on the poolside at the Al Forsan 5 star hotel in Abu Dhabi.

However, our biggest achievement by far was receiving 15 serious enquiries from potential distributors all over the globe, 3 of which have already placed their first orders.

All in all, the exhibition was a roaring success for our export business and has given us a great start to what promises to be a very exciting 2013.
