    d² Dura Profile is a collection of heavy duty, corrosion resistant fibreglass profiles suitable for a wide range of applications. It’s ability to guard against deterioration from industrial chemicals and environmental factors make it a logical and cost-effective alternative to carbon, steel, aluminium, wood or other conventional materials.

    We carry a large stock holding of profile, including standard Angle, Channel, Box and Tube sections, all of which are designed to meet or exceed the higher performance E23 grade requirement of the BS EN 13706 standard (which covers the specification of GRP pultruded profiles).

    If you’re looking for safety handrailing, we can provide two GRP solutions – Fabrication Handrailing and Key Clamp Modular Handrailing. By seamlessly integrating either solution with our d² Dura Grating and Dura Profile components, a secure and durable working platform is ensured.

    d² Dura Profile is a comprehensive collection of structural profile sections made from high performance Glass Reinforced Polymer (GRP) commonly used in construction and engineering applications where a combination of strength, durability, and corrosion resistance is required.

    Exclusive to Dura Composites, Dura Profile beams are used as structural components in place of traditional materials like steel or wood.

    European Standard EN 13706 specifies the minimum requirements for the quality, tolerances, strength, stiffness and surface of structural profiles. The standard divides pultruded structural profiles into two classes – E23 and E17, with E23 having the most stringent requirements for quality. On average, d² Dura Profiles exceed the challenging E23 Grade by an impressive 50%, allowing designers to select profiles that are either twice as strong or a third smaller when compared to GRP competitors, adding effieicny and cost saving to a project. Not only this, but d² Dura Profile can also be half the weight of their steel counterparts too, making them easier to lift, transport and install.

    Being up to 50% lighter translates to an equivalent reduction in the carbon footprint of Dura Profiles, making our structural beams a sustainable choice for environmentally conscious projects. In the case of our GRP channel for example, the d² Dura Profile 203 Channel can be used in place of a 125x65x15 Steel Channel section, achieving a 37% carbon reduction. And what’s more, we’re the first GRP company in our industry to offer an end-of-life and waste GRP solution that doesn’t rely on landfill and incineration.
