We specialise in crafting bespoke GRP Driver Access Platforms, tailored to the unique site demands of depot facility owners. Our non-conductive platforms are meticulously designed to ensure secure access for maintenance and repair tasks, offering a reliable solution for working at elevated heights or safely navigating around trains and other railway equipment.
Our structures are fabricated using our market-leading d² Dura Profile structural beam sections and our d² Dura Grating. GRP’s non-conductive properties make it is a safer alternative in overhead line equipment (OLE) or third rail environments than conventional metallic materials and GRP poses no risk of electrical shock, removing the requirement for earth-bonding.
Designed and built at our Fabrication Centre, our DAPs can be transported to site fully assembled for quick and easy installation. The flooring components used have been anti-slip tested for the equivalent of over 1m footfalls, achieving ultra-low risk anti-slip scores of more than 63 in the wet even after 1 million footfalls.
Uniquely in the market, all our structural profile section components exceed the E23 grade performance requirement of the BS EN 13706 standard by an astounding 50% on average. This means that the profiles used in Dura structures are not just twice as strong as the competition, but potentially half the weight of their steel counterparts.
With our GRP driver platform fabrications and driver walkways, we have supported major depot and stabling modernisation programmes for TFL, Network Rail and other rail industry clients.
