In fact, through careful planning, and in some circumstances there is no need to close the station whilst works are carried out in stages. The latest Dura Platform can be fitted with energy efficient LEDs to the front edge of the coper unit, adjacent to the white nosing, to help improve visibility of the platform edge and passenger safety.

The LEDs are available as double lighting strips in white, blue or other colours and are fully recessed so no trip hazard is presented.
