Dura Profile is a series of heavy duty, corrosion resistant fibreglass pultruded profiles which are suitable for a wide range of applications.  Dura Profile is manufactured by combining various resins with pure glassfibre reinforcement ( a material known commonly by the name GRP, but also sometimes known as FRP or Fibre Reinforced Plastic).

GRP Glassfibre Profiles

Dura Profile is formed and cured in a continuous process, resulting in a product of extraordinary strength and resilience. Dura Composites’ GRP Profiles are commonly used in the construction of structures and can be used to fabricate a vast range of items such as refuge platforms, staircases, ramps, handrails, access ladders, ballast retention systems, walkway supports, access platforms and other non-metallic structural fabrications.

Dura Composites’ wide range of standard profiles ensure that we have items in stock to suit most projects. The standard Dura Profile range we hold in stock is produced in 6m lengths, ISO Resin and are Dark Grey in colour (RAL 7043).

Our fibreglass profiles combine thermal and electric non-conductivity, stability and strength and are low-weight and easy to manoeuvre. As well as our standard range, we also offer an extensive range of custom profiles which are available to order from our experienced team but are subject to minimum order quantities and longer lead times. Pultruded Profiles

On a weight to weight basis, Pultruded Profiles are stronger than structural steel. By varying the type and orientation of the reinforcements, various mechanical properties can be obtained and tensile strengths in excess of 1000 MPa are achievable. Considerable design freedom can be gained by the capability of adding extra strength in highly stressed areas. The excellent impact strength of Pultruded Profiles can reduce damage potential caused by accidental collisions.
