Fibreglass Covered Grating, GRP Service Duct Covers
Fibreglass covered grating is ideal for GRP service duct covers, being lightweight and corrosion resistant
Fibreglass covered grating is lightweight and the walking surface is highly anti-slip and suitable for wheeled trolleys.
Fibreglass covered grating
Fibreglass covered grating is often used in loading and storage areas. Other applications include food processing facilities where covered walkways prohibit contamination to work surfaces below. It is also suitable where covered grating provides a walking surface and controls subsurface odours. Other uses include walkways over tank tops and vats. Fibreglass covered grating has exceptional breaking strength under lateral force. The uni-directional continuous fibreglass reinforcement offers numerous advantages including rigidity, shock resistance, and no permanent deformation after overloading. These factors provide excellent mechanical strength and safety in marine and industrial environments.
GRP service duct covers – low weight, high strength, anti-slip and easy removal for maintenance access.
GRP Service Duct Covers
Covered grating for service duct covers is manufactured with chemical resistant resin and includes a fibreglass gritted plate covered to any standard grating thickness. Covered grating offers a strong, level surface for foot or wheeled traffic and provides approximately 30% higher stiffness values than open mesh grating. Also suitable for ramps, walkways, platforms and work stations.
Low cost, light weight, easily installed, minimum maintenance. Ideal for new or replacement projects.
GRP structural flooring
The standard grit-top surface provides perfect anti-slip flooring. Alternatively, a checker-plate top surface may be desirable where fork lift truck operations take place. The smoother surface will allow loaded trucks to turn more easily.

British Standard Slip Resistance Test Results
The B.S. 4592 test was devised to test and assess the slip resistance of industrial type flooring intended for use in water and wet areas. A co-efficient of friction (CoF) is calculated by determining the mean angle of inclination that an operator can safely maintain when the flooring is subjected to a continuous stream of water.
Standard colours are Green and Grey, other RAL colours available on request for volume orders.
