The Industrial Sales Administrator will have strong administration skills but be ready to speak directly to customers as experience develops, so you will need to be a great communicator and committed to building a successful career. Your support will contribute to ensuring customers receive a fast and efficient service that exceeds expectations.
- Key requirements for this role include:
- Sales experience, preferably supplying Building Products (could be manufacturer, Trade Counter or DIY Store)
- Very confident using IT systems including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Great communication skills, spoken and written
- Good organisation skills and ability to complete key administrative tasks
- Willingness to learn products and help produce Technical Manuals using Word
- Ability to read technical drawings
The Sales Administrator will initially provide quotation and sales order generation support to the Industrial Sales Team, enabling the department to achieve stretching sales targets by freeing up sales managers. As product and customer knowledge develops you will then take responsibility for managing a number of customer accounts. The successful Sales Administrator would benefit from being practically minded, being able to grasp technical concepts and read technical drawings. It would also be beneficial if you understand profit and loss percentages and calculations, as well as producing Bill of Materials.
The company is evolving quickly and in turn there are great prospects on offer if you are committed, successful and willing to go the extra mile. Training and support is offered, as well as a base salary of £17k-21k dependent on experience + a £1.8k OTE commission based bonus on output.
This position is based in Clacton on Sea with working hours of Mon – Fri 8.30 to 5.00pm + one Saturday morning per month 8.30 – 12pm.
