Dura Cladding Chosen by DBP Home Improvements for New Purpose Built Showroom in North Wales

DBP Home Improvements

Dura Cladding Type 200 in Teak gives a stunning result

Composite Timber Dura Cladding has been used to stunning effect at the new purpose built showroom of Welsh-based DBP Home Improvements on the Colomendy Industrial Estate in Denbigh.

The composite cladding in Type 200 Teak was selected on the basis of its low-maintenance properties and durability, and is designed to act as permanent display feature to complement the company’s range of UPVC and Aluminium home improvement products.

Since its launch in 2004, DBP Home Improvements has set the standard for quality across Wales and the border region, thanks to its specialist knowledge and expertise in the supply and installation of windows, doors, conservatories, fascias, gutters, rubber roofing and garage doors.

The Dura Cladding chosen for the front and side elevations of the building was supplied by International Timber through Jewson Denbigh, after a detailed consultation between the customer and Jewson identified it as the ideal material for the dramatic frontage. As a leader in its field, DBP were looking for an attractive, contemporary and lasting cladding solution which would help showcase its range of UPVC and Aluminium Windows, Doors, Rockdoors, Bi-Folding Doors, Conservatories and Guardian Warm Roof and Roofline, and that would stand the test of time.

Dura Composites’ composite timber cladding is produced by combining natural wood flour and high density polyethylene with specially selected additives and a suitable binding agent to create a composite material that looks just like natural wood but doesn’t ever require treating, painting or staining. It is ideal for battling the UK weather and offers a fantastic 25 year life cycle thanks to its durable nature and low maintenance requirements. Dura Cladding also offers excellent eco-friendly properties as the range is 100% Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certified and is manufactured from up to 87% recycled materials, making it the ideal choice for DBP Home Improvements.

Speaking about the project, Garry W Jones & Sian Gough-Roberts, owners and directors of DBP Home Improvements said;

“We’re really excited to have moved into our new building. This new site will be of benefit to both us and our customers on a daily basis and we are particularly delighted with the exterior look of the building. Dura Cladding offered all the key things we were looking for in terms of durability, low-maintenance, and a great natural wood appearance that complements our product portfolio. We look forward to welcoming customers old and new and hearing what they have to say”.

Dura Cladding is available to purchase now through International Timber and selected Jewson branches. The products come in 5 designs and 7 attractive colours and appeal to builders, contractors and commercial property developers looking for an aesthetically pleasing, hard-wearing and low maintenance way to finish the exterior of both new and refurbished buildings.
