50 Jewson Branches to Become Dura Composites Centres for Excellence
Dura Composites and its Exclusive UK Timber Importer, International Timber, have announced that 50 branches of Jewson have been selected to become prestigious Centres for Excellence for Dura Composites, in recognition of the growing demand for composite timber.
As a Saint Gobain sister company to International Timber, Jewson is ideally placed to help showcase the benefits of composite timber amongst its customer base of small and medium building contractors, as well as the general public. Fifty specialist decking branches have been selected by Dura Composites and International Timber to enter the programme, and staff in these branches will be trained on the benefits of the durable and long-lasting Dura range and provided with merchandising support, as well as marketing materials.
Commenting on the initiative, International Timber’s Product Director, Steve Rogers, said: “We welcome the opportunity to facilitate a closer relationship between Jewson and Dura Composites. We’re exceptionally pleased to be the exclusive UK timber importer of this fantastic product range and wholeheartedly support efforts to raise its profile among our customer base.”
Stuart Burns, Director at Dura Composites added: “It’s great to see that demand for our products continues to grow as more people begin to recognise the many advantages of composite timber over traditional materials. Our unique combination of wood and plastic creates a composite with a vibrant, long-lasting colour which will never rot and does not require staining or painting unlike traditional hardwood. With such a great range available, we will be working closely with the teams at Jewson to ensure that their customer base of contractors and end users have all the information they need to choose the best Dura Composites product for their project“.
The 50 Jewson stores that are set to become Dura Composites Centres of Excellence will offer the Dura Deck composite timber decking range in 4 different designs and colours. As well as being ‘barefoot friendly’ and suitable for domestic use on terraces and balconies, Dura Deck is ideal for commercial businesses such as Hotels, Pubs, Holiday Parks and Theme Park walkways, where long term durability and safety are important factors.
The stores will also receive extensive training on the Dura Cladding external cladding range, which is available in 5 designs and 7 colours and which is perfectly suited to house builders and commercial property developers looking for an attractive, hard-wearing and low maintenance way to finish the exterior of both new and refurbished buildings.
Both the Dura Composites decking and cladding range are 100% Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC©) certified and are manufactured from up to 87% recycled materials making them the eco-friendly choice.
